Admission
Admission to the Ph.D. program requires a superior record in graduate work and promise of significant contributions to knowledge. Students enrolled in the M.A. program desiring to continue for the Ph.D. must apply through petition to the Graduate Admissions and Awards Committee.
Continuous Registration
Students pursuing graduate degrees (if not on an approved leave of absence) must maintain continuous registration during the academic year or they will be considered to have voluntarily dropped from the program and must petition for readmission should they desire to return.
